The "Final" of Treorchy Eisteddod is now in 'full swing' and will be held on Sunday evening the 14th June 2015 at Parc Hall Theatre, Cwmparc (the 'home' of Cory Band) Entry forms and applicants for the Eisteddfod weekend itself - 27th & 28th June - are now being received & brochures will be sent out accordingly. Congratulations to students who have achieved awards and successes since the start of the 2014 new term: Morgan Westcott - receiving a place at the prestigious 'Italia Conti Academy' in London at the young age of 16, Callum Howells' successful auditions with Mathew Bourne's production 'Lord of the Flies' and the National Youth Theatre of Wales as well as solo appearances alongside Treorchy & Bridgend Male Choirs. Mia Edwards on reaching the Final of the Welsh Factor and being the current winner (since 2013) of the Treorchy Eisteddfod Junior section 'Final' held at the prestigious Park and Dare Theatre. Also To Mia and Amber Davies on their successful auditions for the 'OKA' choir and Sam Vaughan for achieving a place in the 'OBA' Academy. The 'Spring' of 2015 now brings about competitive opportunities at various Eisteddfodau and a huge congratulations to Carys Lewis & Isobel Vaughan for reaching the final of 'Treorchy Male Choir Young Musician of the Year..........

Incredible achievement for an 8 year old. Llongyfarchiadau hefyd-enillydd yr unawd yn yr 'Urdd'- Carys will now represent her county in Pembrokeshire. An enjoyable weekend at the 'Majestic Male Voice Choir Competition'-Torquay, resulted in 'Bridgend Male Choir' being awarded 2nd position behind a first class performance by 'Risca Male Choir'. The Treorchy Eisteddfod Young Singer/Musician of the Year competition will be held at the Park & Dare Theatre on Friday 28th September 7pm. Tickets avail at box office: £5 stalls, £6.50 circle. The 2nd half will feature a 'short' concert with Bridgend Male Choir, Noteworthy Mixed Choir (Maesteg) and Cor Ysgol Gyfun Cymer.

Recently returned from a very successful tour of North Wales with Bridgend Male Choir. Well done to the gentlemen and music team of the choir ( Cheryl & Scott) for an outstanding concert at the Anglican Cathedral of St Asaph as well as a concert at St John's Methodist Church, Llandudno.
